The Guilford Mooring

Marc and I also went to the Guilford Mooring today. Again, it was really foggy, but I thought these made for some great pictures.

This is the lobster pound where we get fresh lobster.

Not really sure what this building is, but I really liked the "foggy" look.

On the way out, I saw this cool sign! It was definitely the most awesome traffic sign I've ever seen!

This spaceship house was right behind the E.T. sign. Maybe that was why that sign was there!

Hammonasset Beach

After lunch, Marc and I went to Hammonasset Beach. It was a little cold and foggy, but the view was outstanding.

Someone insisted on taking off his shoes...

Then someone decided to put his feet in the water! What was he thinking!

Marc showed me this seaweed that was like bubble wrap. I loved it!

Marc had to walk in the ice-cold puddles to wash the sand off his feet. We also found out that Crocs will float!

It was a nice, relaxing afternoon at the beach!

Lunch at Lenny and Joe's

Marc and I went to Lenny and Joe's Fish Tale for lunch today. It's my favorite place to eat in Connecticut, because you can get some awesome fresh seafood.

I got a hot, buttered lobster roll and salt potatoes. It was soooooo yummy!

Marc got whole belly clams and ate the cole slaw from my order.

I'm sure we'll be back at least one more time before we leave. I need to get some new Lenny and Joe's t-shirts and some more seafood, of course!

The Connecticut Griswolds

We found the Connecticut Griswolds! My oh my, oh my...I've never, ever seen so many plastic Christmas figures! It was crazy!

A cute little snowman buried in the snow!

I said it was a groundhog with a bow. Marc said it was a teddy bear.

A Christmas carousel

It was a plastic, lit-up Christmas Wonderland!

After-Christmas Shopping

Marc's mom, sister, and I decided to check out Home Goods to see if we could find any after-Christmas bargains. Marc and Kyle, our nephew, joined us...not quite sure why, but hey. Marc decided that he wanted to teach Kyle some "man skills." So, this is what I found:

Nice...What a guy!

Merry Christmas from Connecticut

Marc and I left this morning headed to Connecticut. We had a great flight in, with the exception of some turbulence coming into Hartford. (I got a little spooked after we slid on the runway on our last trip, so maybe I'm a little sensitive.) After we picked up our rental car, we headed straight to Marc's sister's house.

We missed Christmas dinner, but we were able to visit with Marc's family for a little while. I had a horrible headache, so I went to sleep early. Marc, however, stayed up and talked. It was a busy day, but Marc and I are excited to be spending Christmas in Connecticut.

More Funny Police Reports

North precinct

• A digital camera, 52 Oxycotin pills, 52 Lorcet pills and $42 cash were stolen from a 1999 beige Mitsubishi Montero in the 2400 block of Mount Vernon Road.
• Twelve steaks were stolen from Wal-Mart, 2200 Sparkman Drive, at 2 p.m. Thursday.
• A PlayStation Portable, a game, a pregnancy test kit, a bottle of lubricant, body lotion and two rolls of Tums were stolen from a Verona Avenue home between Dec. 1 and Thursday.
• A burglar broke into a home in the 2000 block of Lance Road Thursday and stole two 37-inch TVs, a jewelry box and jewelry, a PlayStation 3, a Nintendo Wii, toys and an unknown amount of cash.
• A burglar broke into a home in the 2600 block of Academy Drive late Thursday and stole a jar of change containing about $4.
• A 59-year-old man was robbed on Royal Oak Drive at 10:55 p.m. Thursday. The items stolen were listed in a supplement that was not available for review.
• A burglar broke into a home in the 2000 block of Blue Spring Road Thursday night and stole a flat-screen TV, an XBox 360, two 12-inch subwoofers, an amplifier, four watches and 10 XBox games.

Okay, the list of stolen items is funny enough, but I just caught the "between Dec. 1 and Thursday" part. Now, I can understand reporting the theft of a Playstation and a game, but was it really necessary to report the pregnancy test, the lubricant, the lotion, and the Tums?

South precinct

• A skill saw, a miter saw, a wallet, $10 cash and a bottle of pills were stolen from a 1993 white Chevrolet Astro van parked in the lot across from the Public Safety and Municipal Justice Complex, 815 Wheeler Ave., at 9 a.m. Friday.
• A grinch cut 15 strands of Christmas lights at a restaurant on Twelvestones Road overnight Thursday.
• Another grinch damaged a prelit Christmas tree and a reindeer lawn ornament in the 3000 block of Long Shadow Lane.

• A 61-year-old woman was unlawfully imprisoned on Wellman Avenue from 11:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Thursday. No other details were immediately available.
• A 1997 white Dodge Intrepid was stolen from 8151 S. Memorial Parkway overnight Wednesday.
• A burglar broke into a home on Briar Green Road Thursday afternoon and stole a PlayStation 3, four games and an unknown amount of cash.
• A 47-year-old man was robbed on Hunters Ridge Drive at 2:15 a.m. Friday. The items stolen were listed in a supplement that was not available for review.

I guess Huntsville has more than one Grinch? I thought Mayor Battle was the only one?

The 12 Days of Christmas

This is awesome!

Dinner Time!

Tonight after his dinner, we noticed that Salvie had some "leftovers" on his nose!

Marc had mixed some pureed pumpkin in with his dog food. Then, when we were making our dinner, Marc decided to make him a fried egg. Apparently, Salvie dove in nose first, because he came up with pumpkin and egg smeared on his nose. We were laughing so hard! It was so cute!

Ahhh...Peace

This morning before I left for work, I caught Salvie in this cute pose:

He looked like he was ready for some peace and quite. I'm sure he enjoyed a nice, long nap after I left!
